Officials out of Newtown Connecticut believe that the shooter was influenced by violent video games.

Psychology professor at Penn State Behrend, Dawn Blasko, tells us that research shows violent video games can have some impact on the way kids behave.

On the other hand, Blasko says, there are a large number of teenagers that do play violent games, making it impossible to establish a cause and effect relationship.

Art Zeiber, a manager at Play and Trade, encourages parents to understand what their kids are playing, and to be educated on the entertainment software rating board.

If there are significant changes in your kids behavior, such as isolation after playing too many violent games, it may be time to seek help.
