Family Celebrates Slain Girls Birthday

watch video
It's not your typical place to celebrate a birthday, but Friday afternoon, several family and friends of Elizabeth Neimeic celebrated what would have been the little girl's 5th birthday.

The gathering was held at the girls grave in the Winter Green Gorge Cemetery.

Elizabeth was kidnapped from her bed back in August of 2010 by Aaron Noyer. He was arrested after police lifted finger and palm prints from the girls West 11th Street bedroom window. Noyer led police to nearby railroad tracks where he dumped the girl's body after sexually assaulting her.
Noyer was sentenced tom life in prison.

Elizabeth's mother, Kassie Black said that time has not healed and every year gets worse instead of better.
Family and friends placed cards on her grave and released several purple balloons. Purple was Elizabeth's favorite color.
