February 27th, 2013

The Pennsylvania state trooper accused in a fatal DUI accident was expected to enter a guilty plea this afternoon. That date has now been moved.

Court officials tell us that 35-year-old Jeffery D'Alessandro will be entering a guilty plea on Monday, March 4th.

Dalessandro is facing charges including homicide by motor vehicle while driving under the influence in the death of 21-year-old Daryl Nunemaker.
The accident happened last February 8th on Route 6N at Old Meadville Road.

According to the testimony, D'Alessandro crossed the center lane and crashed into Nunemaker's car.

We're told that D'Alessandro did admit to having several beers that night.
Both the prosecution and the defense in the case tell us they cannot comment about the plea at this time.

Comments

No matter how long they prolong this, Jeffery D'Alessandro WAS DUI, and nothing will bring back the life of.. Daryl Nunemaker...sad but true, that just because of a few drinks, two families are going thru hell-o!! And being a State Trooper, he SHOULD have known better that to drink & drive!!
