Man Charged with Killing Aderian Page
March 5, 2013 - Erie Police arrest and charge an Erie man with murder 5 days after the body of a missing man was found.
An aluminum baseball bat was the murder weapon in the brutal killing of Aderian Page, 35.
Robert Quick, 49, was arrested Monday night from his home for allegedly killing Page.
Quick was at the Erie Police station this morning and later arraigned in front of District Justice Paul Urbaniak.
Page was last seen on February 22nd around 5:30pm leaving his house.
A family member reported him missing on February 25th at 10am.
Erie Police began a missing person investigation on February 28th at 10:30am.
Later that afternoon, shortly before 2pm, Page's body was found, partially frozen, in the backyard of a home in the 1000 block of East 24th Street.
Family members described Page as a "homebody" and say they were on high alert after he didn't return home.
The Erie Police investigation led them to arrest Quick, who reportedly got into an altercation with Page inside his home at 2412 Pennsylvania Avenue.
According to police, Quick used an aluminum baseball bat to strike Page in the head.
Police say Quick dragged Page to the backyard of a home in the 1000 block of East 24th Street and later recovered evidence, including Page's boot and a tarp.
Quick faces numerous charges including criminal homicide, aggravated assault, abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and robbery.
