Loomis to Run for Erie County Sheriff
As the current sheriff steps down, He's recommending his colleague for the job.
A room at the Erie County Courthouse was packed with supporters for Captain John Loomis, as he announced his candidacy for sheriff yesterday.
Loomis tells us his 22 years of experience in office qualifies him to be the next sheriff of Erie County, and current Sheriff Bob Merski senior is endorsing him.
Loomis says he wants to pick up where Merski left off.
Loomis says he also wants to expand the Triad program benefiting seniors.
