Hometown Hero 3/07/13 Leslie Lindemuth

Leslie Lindemuth of Tidioute is a veteran of the U.S. Army.  Drafted in 1966, Les would serve in Vietnam as a member of the Air Calvalry Infantry.  In December 1967, he was shot and wounded.  He would spend several months in a hospital and receive the Purple Heart.

Vern Lindemuth says: "It meant a lot to him, and he's very proud of the fact he did what he did, and probably would do it again if he had to."

After coming home, Les worked 37 years for the same company in Warren.  Now retired, this husband, father and grandfather has also been a commander for the VFW and Disabled American Veterans.  U.S. Army and Vietnam veteran Leslie Lindemuth, this week's Hometown Hero.
