Local Linemen Help Restore Power
Although we didn't get hit by the recent winter storm, many areas south of our region did, and linemen from our region are helping out.
The Northwestern Rural Electric Cooperative Association based out of Cambridge Springs reported to the Shenandoah Electric Cooperative in Virginia earlier this week.
They are there to help restore power to those hit hardest by the latest winter storm.
The crews are expected to be in Virginia for about a week.
The Northwestern REC maintains over 2600 miles of electric line from Erie county to Mercer county and Ashtabula county in Ohio.
