Springing Forward and Celebrating Sunday's Weather

watch video
MARCH 10 2013-        We may have lost an hour of sleep by springing forward, but it hasn't stopped folks from celebrating beautiful weather today.

Losing an hour of sleep, didn't stop Erieites from springing off on the right foot, enjoying the sunshine and warm temperatures Sunday afternoon in some of Erie counties most scenic spaces.

"Today is really nice weather and enjoying to be out here," says Oleh Katokv.

At Dobbins Landing some people walked their dogs, took photos and even fed the wildlife.

"This is one of the times where it shows how great it is to live in Erie cause in winter it's dead.  Spring is perfect," says Christy Moore.

And some even attempted to reel one in... Casting a line in the warm weather.

"I love it.  My first day out fishing and I don't even care if I catch something," says Zack Carter, a fisherman at Dobbins Landing.
Others cruised the town with their top down, savoring this spring weather.

"Got convertible out, pumped up flat tire. Changed battery, got gas in tank and we're gonna cruise around town and get ice cream," says Gerry Miller of Erie.

Over at FrontierPark kids had a Sunday fun day.... knowing they had to go back to school Monday morning.  But it didn't bother them.

"It's a good weather today to enjoy," says Angel Garcia.

And those we spoke with say to enjoy the warm temperatures while they last, as Erie's climate can be unpredictable.

"Why is it so important to enjoy it? Because it might snow tomorrow and that's okay!" Says Gerry Miller of Erie.

"We gonna have some bad weather next week. So take advantage of it now," says Kevin Smith of Erie.
