Stabbing Victim's Father Speaks Out

MARCH 11, 2013- Michael Williams Jr's father says he is in shock and in a state of disbelief.

His 38-year-old son was reportedly stabbed multiple times in the back in his East Side driveway over the weekend.  

Many unanswered questions remain for Michael Williams Sr.

Friday evening just before 11, his 38-year-old son Michael Guy Williams Jr. was attacked and stabbed multiple times in his own driveway.

This happening in the 300 block of East 8th Street, allegedly by 3 juveniles.

"I responded as quickly as I could to get down there and Erie Police down there and responded beautifully," says Michael Williams Sr.

Now, the 3 teens including Andrew Hiltabidel, Rodney Caldwell and Julien Alvarado have been charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and possessing an instrument of crime.

Williams father says his Marine Corps Veteran son may have told the teens to get away from his home, but he did not deserve this.

"I did not lose him in Iraq... and I ain't gonna lose him now... And he's doing much better today," says Williams Sr.

Williams father says he wants justice and he hopes the violence will come to an end.

"I just hope they start getting weapons and juvenilles off the street.  It's about time this comes to an end," says Williams Sr.

And above all else ... Williams is hoping his son will make a full recovery.

"I still love him. And I want him to come home."

Erie Police tell us the three teens who have been charged in the attack against Williams Jr. were placed in the ErieCounty prison on $25 thousand dollars bond..

They are being charged as adults.

Michael Williams Jr. is being treated at UPMC Hamot's trauma unit.

His father tells us his son is being treated for bleeding in the abdomen, collapsed lung, bleeding in his kidney, fractured rib, broken rib.
