Avonia Road Bridge Over I 90 Hit by Truck
One lane of Interstate 90 is closed as a result of a traffic accident.
A tractor trailer traveling on the interstate's westbound lane struck the Avonia Road bridge, causing damage to the bridge and scattering debris on the roadway.
Police and emergency workers are clearing the roadway, Erie Haz-Mat has responded to the accident scene.
No one has been reported injured, but one westbound lane of the interstate will remain closed until the cleanup is completed.
A news release from PennDot projects the road will be open by 7 PM.
