American Legion Welcomes National Commander

MARCH 3, 2013- The American Legion Wesleyville Post welcomed the top of its ranks to the area this afternoon.

American Legion National Commander Jim Koutz visited the post as he made his way across the state of Pennsylvania.

The commander was in town to promote operation comfort warrior.

The program is designed to provide requested items of comfort to wounded soldiers returning to the states that are recuperating or in rehabilitation.

Items such as i-pods, televisions, trips and sporting goods are some examples of comfort items.

Koutz talked of the organizations advocacy, with over $2.4 million members nationwide

The American Legion is the largest Wartime Veterans Organization in the world.
