Millcreek School District Budget Nearly $6 Mill Over

MARCH 14, 2013- The Millcreek Township School Board is reportedly nearly 6 million dollars in the red for the 2013-2014 school year.

This was revealed today at the Millcreek Township School Board Finance meeting.

Business Manager Linnea Lincoln says the following reasons contribute:

-Salaries went up to $1. 9 million.

-Benefits are up to $2. 9 million

-And charter schools are up $1 million.

Board President Terry Scutella says they are working out the issue and hoping for no layoffs...

A special Finance Meeting will be held Wednesday April 3rd to address the budget.
