Students at Central Tech High School wanted to do something special for the victims and their families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

About 20 high school students involved in the machine trade technology program have researched the 27 victims of Sandy Hook School shooting to honor the lives lost.

Mayor Joe Sinnott wanted to thank the students for creating aluminum scrolls with the victims' names and quotes about them.

The teacher of the class will be hand delivering the scrolls to Newtown next week.
The students say they want to help ease the pain for the families of the victims.
