Some young students are getting the chance to dabble in the performing arts.

The Erie Playhouse and the Barber National Institute are working together along with students at the Elizabeth Lee Black School.

More than 50 students have been rehearsing and working on set design.
Today, they performed a play based on the children's classic "The Very Hungry Caterpillar."

The performance was so popular that it was standing room only.
