Sunset Music Series

watch video
It's a simple summer recipe: mix a little music with a beautiful sunset on the beach and you have a perfect night on the Peninsula.

Fans danced along to the sounds of the Duke Sherman Blues Band.

Wednesday night's performance is the first in the series of five lakeside concerts.

The concerts will happen every Wednesday night at 6:30 until July 18th.

Each one features a unique act.  Everything from gospel music to solo fiddle will hit the stage by the beach as the weeks roll on.

Fans say the concerts are a great way to get out and enjoy the summer in Erie.

"It's beautiful," said Cindy Dohanic at the concert.  "We're down here at the Peninsula.  We have the water, it's 80 degrees, good music, couldn't be better," she added.

"That's why we live in Erie," agreed David Longley.  "It's only the summer stuff.  Who wants to be here in the winter, nobody likes the winter, but it's worth it staying around for the summer things," he said.

The Sunset Music Series is just one part of the summer fun in Erie.

The Eight Great Tuesdays Concert series starts on June 26th.
