The family of Shante Robinson held a vigil Thursday night to mark the anniversary of her death. The vigil took place at the intersection of East 8th Street and the Bayfront Highway. It was here that Robinson was killed one-year-ago Thursday after being hit by an SUV. Police say Robinson was struck when she and friends crossed the intersection against the light. Everyone gathered around a cross, listening to the Reverend Darrold Hobson. The driver of the SUV was charged with speeding and reckless driving, but Robinsons mother has repeatedly expressed frustration over how the case was handled. Ella Robinson says shell be going to the DAs office Friday seeking justice.
