Presque Isle Swimming Advisory

watch video
The first swimming advisory of the season was issued Monday for Beach 1 at Presque Isle State Park. The advisory comes after elevated levels of E-coli bacteria were found. During a swimming advisory, the affected beach is still open to swimming, but beach goers should take extra precautions to avoid illness, such as not swallowing lake water, and washing your hands before handling any food. Re-testing has already begun, and will continue until the E-coli levels return to normal levels.
