Child Found Alive With Dead Mother
Police discovered the body of a woman in her apartment on the east side on Sunday night.
Police say the body of an adult woman was found inside 2035 Gladstone Court, apartment A-2.
There is no word on how long the woman had been dead or what the cause of death was.
The story has a disturbing twist. In the same apartment, police found a two year old boy.
It's believed the toddler was fending for himself for what may have been a period of one to two weeks.
The child was found naked and all the cupboard doors in the kitchen were open.
The boy was taken to Hamot Medical Center where he is being treated for dehydration.
Neighbors say they are shocked at the discovery.
"She kept to herself a lot," said Sade Jordan, who lived next door. "She was real quiet, you know, real sensitive. Her son was nice, playful, you know," she added.
Police are not releasing any more information until the woman's family is notified of her death.
