Trooper Honored
Two state troopers were honored Tuesday by the County Executives Office for their outstanding service to the community.
Trooper Gary S. Knott was presented with a citation at the Lawrence Park state police barracks.
Knott was selected as Troop Es 2006 Trooper of the Year.
He made 23 drug related arrests and 16 DUI arrests in that year.
Trooper Christopher ONeill was also recognized.
Knott along with ONeill organized a dinner and telethon which raised $30,000 for the families of a New York state trooper who was killed and another who was wounded in August of 2006.
Knott and ONeill were two of 18 troopers recognized statewide during a recent awards ceremony held in Hershey.
