The future of the Erie County Fair maybe in jeopardy. Sources are telling Action News 24
the event which is over one hundred year`s old is allegedly 90 thousand dollars in debt. Now directors of the event are trying to come up with that money to pay creditors. Otherwise officials feel the Erie County Fair may not happen this year. Directors of the event are now considering selling the land where fair takes place at Route 8 and 89 to pay off the debt. People who work closely with the organization say they do have major concerns with the situation. We did confirm this with several fair directors, who say this has problem has been years in the making. A public meeting is set for next Friday, at Heritage Hall, that`s at the Erie County Fairgrounds.
