Home Invasion
A violent home invasion and robbery on the city's east side sent three people to the hospital.
It happened just after 6:30 Tuesday morning in the 600 block of East 25th Street.
Police say three or possibly four masked and armed men broke into the residence.
They threated and then pistol whipped 39 year old Carrietta Carpenter, 20 year old Seandoia Thompson, and a 13 year old boy.
One of the victims jumped from a second story window trying to escape the intruders.
Police say the men rummaged through the apartment looking for cash and other valuables. Investigtors are looking into whether or not shots were fired in the home.
Neighbors say the community is typically a quiet one, without violence.
