More Shigellosis

The Erie County Health Department and officials at Tutor Time Day Care say there are now 13 children and one adult with confirmed cases of shigellosis.

The Erie County Health Department warns this infection causes severe, and sometimes bloody, diarrhea. Tutor Time will be closed for the remainder of the week.

Health officials recommend that anyone with symptoms should see a doctor immediately. They say washing your hands is the best way to prevent the spread of the infection.
