5 Public Hearings to Be Held At City Council Meeting
Wednesday night's Erie city council meeting should be a busy one, as council sits in on five public hearings.... at least two of those hearings relate to new construction along the Bayfront.
Hamot Medical Center and Jr's On The Bay will both have public hearings Wednesday night to request construction along the waterfront.
Hamot Medical Center plans to build a 4-floor medical office building on the northwest corner of W. 2nd and Peach streets. The $15 million project will comprise of condominiums owned by the physicians. The physician owned floors will offer services including G.I., orthopedics and gynecology.
Also - Wednesday night, representatives from Jr's On The Bay will hold a public hearing to discuss their plans to re-locate and build a new facility just west of where their restaurant sits now along the Bayfront next to Liberty Park. The proposed 10,000 sq. ft. building will be fenced in with a showroom with seating for 300 and availability for national talent during the winter months.
The public hearings begin Wednesday night at 8:00pm in Erie City Council Chambers.
