A COMPROMISE HAS BEEN REACHED BY PENNSYLVANIA`S TWO U.S. SENATORS ON STEM CELL RESEARCH. SENATOR RICK SANTORUM SAYS HE CAN BE FOR STEM CELL RESEARCH AND ITS POSSIBILITIES IN THE FIELD OF MEDICINE IF CELLS CAN BE HARVESTED WITHOUT DESTROYING EMBRYOS. SENATOR SANTORUM SAYS HE WORKED WITH SENATOR ARLEN SPECTER TO FIND A BILL THEY BOTH COULD AGREE ON. SPECTER SPOKE OF THE POTENTIAL BENEFITS OF THE RESEARCH TO CURE DISEASES AND EVEN CANCER, SOMETHING HE`S SUFFERED WITH IN RECENT YEARS.
