Shipbuilder Lays Off Half Workforce

A huge new shipbuilding operation on Erie`s bayfront has hit a lull in operations and now its workforce has been cut in half. Currently, Erie Shipbuilding LLC has 35 full-time employees. That`s down from 70 tradesmen at the company`s peak.
