Judges Get Pay Raise
The controversy surrounding that middle of the night pay raise takes another unexpected turn today.
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court reinstated the raises for more than a thousand elected judges across the board.
Judges` pay will now return to the level it was back in November... before the pay-raise that also included state legislators was repealed.
When lawmakers approved the pay raises in July of 2005, voters were outraged.
That anger ultimately caused the defeat of a sitting supreme court judge and primary election losses for several incumbent legislators.
