Home Instead Senior Care enjoys a tremendous reputation for Alzheimer/Dementia care in the Erie community. Although ALL of our CAREGivers are trained in these areas, about 40% of our CAREGivers have completed the George G. Glenner Alzheimer’s Family Centers, Inc, School of Dementia Care and are certified Home Instead Alzheimer’s CAREGivers. This is notable for families living in the Erie community who are affected by the disease. CAREGivers engage the client in both Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL”s), such as cooking; and Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s), such as bathing, to help them live quality lives for a longer period of time. Our respite care is helping to bring relief and much needed time away for family caregiver(s). In a phrase, Home Instead CAREGivers are bringing “quality of life” back to families affected by memory loss.
