The Second Harvest Food Bank and The Erie Community Foundation Team Up

November 1, 2012 - A simple Facebook page "like" can help the Second Harvest Food Bank feed more families during the holidays.

Second Harvest has teamed up with the Erie Community Foundation to announce a campaign offering the community a simple and free way to provide meals by going on Facebook.

   Simply "like"  The Erie Vital Signs Facebook page or The Erie Community Foundation Facebook page for the foundation to donate a dollar to the food bank.

"We found that social media is a really important tool and it's so easy so folks can really help the food bank by liking us on Facebook," said Mike Batchelor from the Erie Community Foundation.

"Even if you don't have the resources to do a monetary donation or a food drive or even to volunteer sit at your computer click it and you're going to help those who are in need this holiday," said Karen Seggi of the Second Harvest Food Bank.

    Second Harvest hopes to raise $2,000 from the Facebook promotion that runs now through Thanksgiving Day.
