Man Suffers 2nd Degree Burns in Fire

One man suffers burns from a fire on tonight....

Around 9:20 this evening ... Erie firefighters were called to the 700 block of E 6th Street....

They were told one person had been burned...

When they got there ... Firefighters say they found the victim ... A man ... With second degree burns over 50% of his body...

They also tell us the man was in the backyard with gasoline and somehow caught fire...

No word on exactly what happened.

The man was taken to UPMC Hamot
