November 23, 2012-  The water main break at West 26th and Peninsula is repaired and the street is open again.

Taking less than 24 hours from break to fix, the Erie Waterworks repair platoons moved in before 3pm on Thanksgiving, assessed and repaired the break. A second crew tag teamed the first workers, and finished patching the street with a temporary coat of asphalt.

A permanent road repair will be applied Monday or Tuesday. Traffic to and from the K Mart Plaza experienced only minor inconveniences Waterworks authorities said.
