There are some local businesses who have remained open through several decades. What's the secret to their success?

Urbaniak Bothers have been around since 1929.

Larry's Central Market has been open for business for 63-years.

Both are patron favorites in Erie, and as neighborhoods change, these businesses are changing along with them.

Larry's started as an Italian market and eventually took on more of an eclectic feel.

Urbankiak's shares Larry's strategy and says they're not afraid to try new things.

Sometimes, these small businesses survive because customers make shopping at a particular store a tradition.

Generations of family members head to the neighborhood store together, and the tradition continues on through the years.

There's also the family-owned aspect. They believe making you part of their family, helps keeps theirs in business. Both stores believe in treating customers with respect and giving them the products and services they want.
