FEBRUARY 3, 2013-Some tense minutes early this morning after Erie Fire crews heard a family might be trapped inside a burning house.

It was just after midnight that several 9-1-1 calls were received reporting a fire at a house in the 700 block of East 19th Street.

Firefighters reported seeing smoke billowing from the home while they were still several blocks away.

The family's car was parked near the house, leading some to believe they were inside, but luckily that was not the case.
