Fire Damages East Side Town Home

    FEBRUARY 5, 2013-The fire happened just after 6:30 this evening at 1439 East 19th Street.    

    Crews were able to extinguish the flames in about 15 minutes.

    Fire officials say the woman who lives at the town home was able to escape.

     But she suffered burns to her feet and was transported to UPMC Hamot.

    Her dog died in the fire.  

    The official cause of the fire is still under investigation.
