Erie Misses Big, "Historic" Snow Storm

By: Danielle Woods
Updated: February 8, 2013
As a big winter nor'easter hits the East coast, Erie, instead, has sunshine coming tomorrow afternoon, and lasting throughout the weekend.

Some areas in the Northeast are projected to get two feet of snow. The nor'easter is said to have the potential to be "historic."

In Erie, we've seen some snow today, but nowhere near the amounts that the Northeast will get.

People in our area say Erie could've handled the nor'easter, because we're used to it.

"We're pretty much used to it, you know, getting all the lake effect snow and all that kind of stuff. I'm not worried about it, it's snow, it melts," Kevin Lowrie said. Lowrie and his family often ski in the area, but are from Cleveland.
