February 15, 2013 - After five days on a cruise ship without power, Triumph passengers were happy to get back to shore.

But some say this could damage the cruise line reputation.

For Erie resident Carol Huey, cruising is her ideal vacation.

It's the perfect trip to take with her friends for many reasons, including convenience.

"Everything is literally under one roof," Huey said.

But a dream vacation turned into a nightmare for more than 3,000 passengers onboard the carnival cruise ship the triumph.

No power, raw sewage and rationed food ruined the trip.

It's not the only negative incident in recent memory for carnival.

The Costa Concordia ran aground off the coast of Tuscany killing 32 people last year.

"It's been for the most part incident free," said Eric Dahlstrand, manager of Miler Travel Group. "Things are going to happen, but I think people realize it's not a perfect world and the benefits outweigh the potential risk."

Huey is a cruise enthusiast who says the recent Triumph incident is unfortunate, but it's not stopping her.

"No, this isn't going to deter me one little bit," Huey said. "This will be cruise number forty and I'm looking forward to maybe forty more!"
