Bids For Kids Raises Money For Children's Charities

Shriners Hospital For Children - Erie, has again been selected as one of the local children's charities that will benefit from this years Bids For Kids, sponsored by GE Transportation.

The gala event was held Saturday night at the Bayfront Convention Center.
  
Bids For Kids is GE's premier fundraiser for local children charities.

In addition to Shriners Hospital For Children, Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Boy's & Girl's Club will share equally in the proceeds from tonight's event that included a live auction, a silent auction and games of chance.

Last year, each charity received more than $38,000 from the event.
