FEBRUARY 26, 2013-

Big changes are coming to West Erie Plaza, as Millcreek Township Supervisors approve a plan for a new 3 tenant building.

The West Erie Plaza will be getting a facelift.

Supervisors unanimously voted to approve VCG Properties plan for a 3 tenant, 6 thousand square foot building.

VCG Properties bought the West Erie Plaza back in 2012.

This new building will set up shop along West 12th Street where the old Taggarts Shop for Men and Marquette Savings Bank once stood.

It's something Erie shoppers and Millcreek supervisors say could bring life to the nearly deserted shopping complex.

VCG Properties hope to open the shops by the end of 2013.

Millcreek Township Supervisors say VCG Properties may also work on a plan for condos and more retail stores.

As for the stores in the new 3 tenant building, Supervisor Joe Kujawa tells us there will be at least one fast food restaurant.
