Villa Maria Academy has joined the fight against human trafficking in Erie.

Villa students presented the Sisters of Saint Joseph with a $500 check in an effort to end human trafficking.

The Sisters of Saint Joseph made a commitment to combat this crime and they've been making significant advancements in the area.

The statistics are shocking, the average age of a young girl going into prostitution is 12 years old, that's something the sisters of Saint Joseph want to address.
