Current Erie City Council president is seeking another four year term.

Jim Winarski announced today in front of friends and family that he wants to serve again on Erie City Council.

The Democrat says he wants to continue working on projects that started while he was on council including the GAF property.

Winarski says another big issue is the city's financial situation.
Winarski was first elected to council in 2009.
