Tonight, at a City Mission banquet...Rick Crocker of the City Mission wants those Tent City residents who have no where else to go... That there is help available, and their doors are open.

Crocker tells us, "I don't know those individuals personally I feel sadly about the situation I feel bad those individuals have been displaced, we would seek to have our doors open to the men who need shelter there we hope that if they need help with a recovery program we certainly would give them full consideration to be a part of our program at the Erie City Mission."

Anthony Leak, who took part in the Missions' New Life Program, says

"I want to let them know and share my life with them let them know that they're not a lost cause they can have purpose in their life if they reach for it"

Crocker says the new life program can help those men in tent city that need it...

They building a new 106 bed facility on 11th and French that you can stay at for 45 days at a time to help those who need to get back on their feet.

Even though the mission is available to men only, there are different organizations in Erie that will also help women.

It's nice that the City Mission helps the men, but what about all of the women who need this same kind of help...WHERE do they go...no one seems to say where it is that they can go for help like these men can...WHY doesn't the City Mission have Women's homes like they do men's homes? They could put them in different locations also!!!
