Faculty and coaches at 14 schools in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education are continuing a strike authorization vote .
Voting on the measure began Monday and will conclude Wednesday.
The 6000 member Association of Pennsylvania College and University Faculties has been working without a contract since July of 2011.
Authorization for a strike does not mean faculty and coaches will walk off the job. An additional vote of the union heads from the 14 schools must be taken. At least 10 of the 14 must vote in favor of a work stoppage to trigger a strike.
Meanwhile, the next bargaining session will be December 11.
