December 28, 2012 - A shooting on the city's west side sends a juvenile to the hospital.

Erie Police were called to West 23rd and Cherry Streets for reports of a shooting.

Police say a group of juveniles were allegedly throwing snowballs at vehicles.

That's when a car with two occupants reportedly stopped, shot at the juveniles, hitting one in the buttocks.

The boy was taken to UPMC Hamot for treatment.

Police are still investigating the incident.

That WAS supposed to say "ADOPTED" in the first message I left... Kids have always thrown snowballs since there was first snow...the difference is, some kids have Parent's who DO care what and where their kids are, apparently, these kids do not...which someone should have called the Police and let them handle it, and if you KNEW who these kids were, go talk with a Parent if you know their Parent's do care what they do...you cannot watch a kid 24/7, it's impossible, unless you lock them up in the home...It ALL begins at home, and if they don't have a, "Home" per se, then HELP them the best way YOU can! What's wrong with acting like a Big Brother or Big Sister, or even a Adopted Mom or Dad, NO one says you have to adopt them, just "ACT" like it...DO something to help these kids already, instead of complaining! Dang straight, If I lived there I WOULD try!

I agree Fed P.! Hey rich k., are you wondering where the parents of the kids throwing snowballs are?? I understand...kids need to be taught to not throw snowballs at cars...but I want to know where the parents are to the kids with the guns!!! So, we would defend the kids carrying guns and shooting at kids before we defend the kids getting shot at??? This place is getting sick!

Really?!? It's OK to shoot kids for throwing snowballs at cars now?? Maybe the lazy people in the car should try chasing them down and taking them to their parents?? Or would that be to manly for all these wanna be men who are too busy dealin and not supporting their families to do something worthwhile? Let me guess the description of the shooters... Black male, early 20's, wearing pants down to their knees and hoodies! Go back to Detroit!!
