New Year's Eve Celebrations

    December 31, 2012 - Another year has come and gone, and tonight, thousands will welcome 2013 at many parties throughout Erie.

    There are a handful of New Year's Eve celebrations throughout Erie to kick off 2013.

    The New Year's Eve Bash at The Ambassador will have a DJ, balloon drop and of course champagne toast. 

"This is the first year at The Ambassador that we decided to try the New Year's Eve Bash because we usually have weddings so tonight we have more than four hundred people coming tonight."

The Bayfront Convention Center will come to life as hundreds of people party for Boogie on the Bay"

"We're ready again for another Boogie on the Bay," said Jeff Esposito, Bayfront Convention Center General Manager. "It's the same prices as last year, same even brought back essentially by popular demand. We have about five hundred people every year."   

    There will be live music by Redline with of course food and a champagne toast to ring in the New Year at the Convention Center.

    Another option is at the ErieArt Museum, The Erie Reader is hosting its first New Year's Eve celebration.

    There is an eclectic music lineup and a whole lot of fun promised for anyone who attends.

"We've had great response from Erie," said Ben Speggen, The Erie Reader managing editor. "We're really proud to be able to do this to feature an entire local lineup and to have people this excited, it really gives us great reward that Erie is excited for this."

    There are family fun events at Splash Lagoon if that's the type of party you're looking for.

    And Peek 'N Peak will be full of festivities to welcome 2013.
