January 4, 2013 - The Millcreek Police Department is on the receiving end of a generous donation from the American Legion Post 773.

The legion gave the Millcreek Police Department $15,000.

Chief Tom Carlotti says this money will go towards buying equipment for the frontline officers.

It's not the first donation the department received from the legion.

"If we can get them something that's going to help protect them we're all for it," said Ben Suchocki, American Legion Post 773.

Officials from the legion say they gave more than $140,000 to different community assets in 2012.
