Millcreek native Jordyn Colao will represent Erie Pennsylvania on Saturday night during the Miss America Pageant.

Jordyn Colao is hoping she can bring the title back to Pennsylvania.

The 23 year old competed for the Miss Pennsylvania title back in may and defeated 53 women for the title.

She spent the year focusing on her platform, Heart to Heart - cardiovascular disease prevention.

Heart disease hits close to home for her because three of her grandparents died from it.

Jordyn has been in Las Vegas since January 2nd participating in several events for the competition.

It's an exciting time for Jordyn along with her family and friends from Erie.

McDowell Intermediate High School principal remembers her as a dedicated woman who was always involved.

Her father tells us she's proud of her accomplishments and sent her to Vegas with some advice.

If you want to help Jordyn automatically become a finalist on January 12th, log on to http://www.missamerica.org/videocontest/

Voting closes at 11:59 pm on Thursday January 10th.
