After a five car train derailment last Friday... The tracks are up and ready to go...

The train went off the tracks last Friday afternoon...prompting crews to bring in all of their manpower for this tedious job.

Road Master for the NYPA railroad tells us the rail actually spread apart..causing the wheels on the train to fall in.

We're told there were three cars full of plastics, a car full of steel and a low hazmat car carrying iso-butylene, described as a flammable gas.

Officials say the tracks were old but they weren't unsafe..

The new tracks are rebuilt... And trains now have the green light to use them.
