Heart disease is the number one killer of women in the United States... And for one woman... Not knowing the risk factors could have ended her life...

    Women were seeing red today...in support of heart disease...

    February is heart month so it's a perfect time for a heart to heart talk

Women across the nation proudly wear red to remember to take care of their most precious organ... The heart.

    And for one woman... Not knowing the risk factors almost ended her story early.

    Tammy Kinne-Gustafson suffered a massive heart attack in June of 2012...

    She tells us it was the scariest thing that has ever happened to her.

    Tammy says looking back... She did have some of the symptoms... Like elbow pain, which she attributed to arthritis... But she brushed them under the rug...

    Now she's believes she was meant to live for a reason, and wants to continue to raise awareness...

    Doctor Kelly Hayes agrees... Saying what could seem like the onset of the flu could be the beginning of a heart attack.
