Tractor Trailer Kills Wattsburg Woman

FEBRUARY 3, 2013-A woman is dead after being struck by a tractor trailer early this morning.

State Police in LawrencePark identified the woman as 42-year-old Kathleen Loper of Wattsburg.

   According to Police, Loper was walking north in the south bound lane of Route 89 just after one this morning, when she was struck by a tractor trailer.

   Loper was transported to UPMC Hamot where she was pronounced dead.

   The investigation is continuing in conjunction with the Erie County Coroners Office.
