This year's Roar On The Shore event in July will be preceded by another bike rally, this one called Bikefest, taking place at Harley Davidson of Erie.

The motorcycle event will run July 13th through the 21st.
There will be several events planned for Bikefest, including an appearance by nationally known custom bike builder Paul Yaffe.

The co-owner of Harley Davidson of Erie, Kelly Lapping, says Bikefest will not take away from Roar On The Shore.

Bikefest will expand the number of activities and amount of entertainment leading up to Roar and bring people to Erie sooner.

This year, Roar On The Shore, will get underway July 18th and run through the 20th.
