Tragic Sledding Accident in Jamestown

February 15, 2013 - A tragic accident claimed a young girl's life in Jamestown, New York Friday evening.

It happened around 5:45pm on Foote Avenue just south of the Arterial Highway.

According to Jamestown Police, five year old girl was reportedly sledding on a hill next to Foote Avenue when she rode her sled into the roadway and was struck by a vehicle.

The girl died at WCA Hospital.

The investigation is continuing, but Jamestown Police say charges are not expected to be filed against the driver.
